Douglas L. Zerbe

Douglas L. Zerbe, age 89, of Windsor Township, York, died at 12:00 AM Monday, April 29, 2024, at his residence. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Paules) Zerbe.

Born April 18, 1935, in White Plains, New York, the son of the late Leon Zerbe, Sr. and the late Olive G. (Rodgers) Zerbe, he retired from York International Engineering. He was a member of York International Relief Association, Hawk Gunning Club, and Locust Grove United Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife of 69 years, Mr. Zerbe is survived by a son, Terry L. Zerbe, and his wife Susan, of York; a daughter, Wendy J. Spangler, and her husband Victor, of York; three grandchildren, Christopher Zerbe, and his wife Emily, Megan Woods, and her husband Jimmy, and Libby Spangler; and two great grandchildren, Emerson and Beau Woods. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel L. Zerbe.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is in charge of arrangements.
