Craig B. Felker, age 73, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully on April 28th, 2024, at home. He was the loving husband of Patricia I. (Vukov) Felker with whom he shared almost 35 years of marriage.

Craig was born October 20, 1950, in Baltimore Maryland and was the son of the late Otto Matthew and Ruth (Simpson) Felker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harold Felker and sister Ann Ruth Chinault.

Craig attended and graduated from Northeast High school in Pasadena Maryland, in the class of 1968. Craig enlisted in the army in 1968 and proudly volunteered to go to Vietnam in October 1969. While serving as a squad leader scout in various combat zones, he was wounded twice and awarded two purple hearts. For meritorious service to his country, Craig was also awarded the silver star, the bronze star, an air medal for air mounted combat assaults, and the army commendation medal.

Mr. Felker was the jack of all trades, when he returned from his Tour in Mannheim, Germany, he decided to pursue a career in cosmetology, to become a hairdresser and later became a master level barber and specialize as a makeup artist. Over the years he was able to open two hair salons, one in Painters Mill and one in Pasadena, which is also where he met his wife. He later went on and was able to obtain a CDL and worked for various companies. Moving to Littlestown, Pennsylvania in 2012, he worked at Adams County Prison until he retired.

While Craig was quite loud, his love for past friends and family was genuine and soundless. In addition to his loving wife, Craig is survived by his daughter, Katlyn R. Rolon and husband Nathan Rolon, a grandson, Layten and granddaughter, Harper of Hanover, PA.

Craig loved to take apart and rebuild objects. His family often referred to him as a “tinker”. There rarely was a job too big for him to handle. Craigs sarcasm and witty sense of humor never became dull, “You may call me Mr. Pig”, he always enjoyed sharing stories, reflecting on memories, and making people laugh. He loved to cook, garden and spent many days boating, fishing, and crabbing alongst the Eastern Shore.

Per Craig’s wishes, there will be no public services. Professional services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove.
